Your Verified Identity · On Your Device

Your ID,
only when you choose.

ProntoWallet is the dedicated digital identity wallet inside the ProntoID app. Verified documents live in your phone's secure enclave, behind a biometric gate — ready to present, prove, or share on your terms. Never in an email, never in a camera roll.

The Problem

Your passport
doesn't belong in Gmail.

Most people quietly keep photos of their passport, ID card, or driving licence in their email, their camera roll, or a shared Google Drive folder. It's convenient — until it isn't.

Those services were built to store files, not to protect identities. Keys live with the provider. Access stays open once you're logged in. A single account compromise exposes years of documents. In 2026, with digital identity wallets becoming the global standard, this is a high-risk behaviour — and an unnecessary one.

Email attachments

Indexed, searchable, and trivially exportable once an account is breached.

Camera roll

Auto-synced to the cloud. Visible to anyone who picks up an unlocked phone.

Shared drives

Provider holds the keys. Permissions drift over time and are rarely audited.

Messaging apps

Copies scattered across conversations, backed up to who-knows-where.

How It Works

Verify once.
Carry it with you.

ProntoWallet extends the ProntoID verification pipeline into a lifelong credential you hold on your own device.

1

Verify with ProntoID

Complete a standard ProntoID check — document + biometric liveness. This issues a verified credential against the ICAO 9303 or regional standard.

2

Sealed in the enclave

The verified document is sealed into your device's Secure Enclave (iOS) or TrustZone (Android) with quantum-resistant encryption. Only you hold the keys.

3

Present on your terms

Open the app, authenticate with face or fingerprint, and display the ID or a zero-knowledge proof. Dynamic watermarking prevents reuse of any screen photograph.

4

For another ProntoID user or a business, generate a one-time QR code or secure link. The data expires the moment it's consumed.

Security Pillars

Engineered for the
post-quantum era

ProntoWallet isn't cloud storage with extra steps. It's a purpose-built identity wallet, hardened at every layer.

Zero-knowledge architecture

Only you hold the keys. ProntoID servers cannot read the documents inside your wallet — not for support, not for compliance, not at all.

Biometric re-authentication

Face or fingerprint required every single time a document is opened or shared. Unlike a browser session, the wallet never stays "logged in".

Secure Enclave / TrustZone

Documents are stored in the dedicated security hardware of your phone. Even a fully compromised operating system cannot reach inside.

Zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP)

Prove "over 18", "EU resident", or "holds a valid passport" without sharing the underlying document. A signed yes/no replaces the raw file.

Anti-capture & watermarking

Screenshots and screen recording are disabled while the ID is visible. A moving timestamp overlay makes any phone-of-screen photo worthless.

Post-quantum encryption

Quantum-resistant algorithms protect data intercepted today from decryption by future quantum computers. Identity is long-lived — encryption should be too.

Compared

Dedicated wallet
vs. generic storage

Same document. Radically different security model.

Feature ProntoWallet Email / Google Drive
Encryption model Zero-knowledge. Only you hold the keys. Quantum-resistant algorithms. Encrypted at rest — but the provider typically holds the keys.
Access control Biometric liveness per document. Face or fingerprint every time. Password + optional MFA, often shared across dozens of services.
Storage layer Device Secure Enclave (iOS) or TrustZone (Android). Never touches ProntoID servers. Provider-managed cloud infrastructure outside your control.
Audit trail Cryptographic, tamper-evident log of every access and share event. Basic login history. No per-document access record.
Sharing model One-time QR or expiring link. Zero-knowledge proofs for facts only. Static file. Once sent, the recipient keeps a permanent copy.
Reuse protection Dynamic watermark, screenshot block, shake-to-hide. Trivially screenshot and resend.
Compliance alignment eIDAS 2.0, GDPR, age-verification laws, identity wallet protocols. Generic GDPR / SOC 2 for file storage — no identity-specific posture.
Use Cases

Identity, everywhere
you need it

Travel & transit

Show a verified passport credential at hotel check-in, rental desks, or border pre-checks — without handing over the physical book.

Nightlife & venues

Prove "over 18" or "over 21" with a zero-knowledge proof. The door staff see a green check — not your full date of birth or home address.

Creative industry shoots

Models and crew present a verified ID on set without anyone photographing the real document. Pairs directly with ProntoTag and ProntoSigned for model releases.

Contractors & site access

Workers arriving at a secure site present the wallet instead of a lanyard copy of their ID. The site gets a cryptographic attestation, not a paper trail.

Platform sign-in

Complete KYC for a new platform with one tap. ProntoWallet replays your verified credential directly — no re-uploading, no re-scanning.

Everyday proof of identity

Replace physical ID checks at pharmacies, couriers, or age-restricted retailers with a tap-and-show presentation that's faster and more private.

FAQ

Questions,
answered

What is ProntoWallet and how is it different from storing my ID in Google Drive or email?
ProntoWallet is a dedicated digital identity wallet built into the ProntoID app. Unlike Google Drive or email — which hold your documents on provider-controlled infrastructure and stay unlocked once you are logged in — ProntoWallet stores documents inside your device's Secure Enclave (iOS) or TrustZone (Android), requires a biometric check every time you open a document, and can prove facts about you using zero-knowledge proofs without ever exposing the raw ID.
Where are my ID documents actually stored?
Documents are stored in the secure hardware enclave of your own device — Secure Enclave on iOS, TrustZone on Android — under a zero-knowledge architecture. Only you hold the keys. ProntoID's servers cannot read your documents, and encryption uses quantum-resistant algorithms so data intercepted today cannot be decrypted by future quantum computers.
How do I show my ID to someone using ProntoWallet?
Open the ProntoID app, authenticate with your face or fingerprint, and present the document on screen. A dynamic watermark with a live timestamp makes the display impossible to reuse from a photograph. Screenshots and screen recording are disabled while the ID is visible. For verification by another ProntoID user or business, you can generate a one-time QR code instead of showing the raw document.
What happens if someone grabs my phone while my ID is open?
Shake the phone. ProntoWallet's shake-to-hide feature instantly locks the wallet and returns the screen to a neutral state. Re-opening the document requires a fresh biometric check — there is no "keep me signed in".
Can I prove I am over 18 without showing my date of birth?
Yes. ProntoWallet uses zero-knowledge proofs to answer specific questions — "over 18", "resident of the EU", "holder of a valid passport" — without revealing any other information from the document. The third party receives a cryptographically signed answer, not a copy of your ID.
Is ProntoWallet compliant with eIDAS 2.0 and the EU Digital Identity Wallet standards?
ProntoWallet is built to align with eIDAS 2.0, the EU Digital Identity Wallet architecture, GDPR, and related identity standards. Documents stored in the wallet inherit their verification state from ProntoID's KYC pipeline, which supports ICAO 9303 passports, EU national IDs, EU driving licences, and US driver's licences and state IDs.
Does ProntoWallet work offline?
Yes. Because documents are stored locally in your device's secure enclave, ProntoWallet works in areas with no signal — underground venues, flights, remote sites. Verification via QR code with another ProntoID user or business will require connectivity on one side of the exchange.
What happens to my wallet if I lose or replace my phone?
You re-authenticate with ProntoID from the new device, complete a liveness check, and the wallet is re-provisioned with your existing verified credentials. Nothing is "recovered" from a backup of your old phone — the enclave on the lost device is cryptographically abandoned, so even finding that phone is useless to anyone else.
